Defense Question
« on: March 01, 2009, 01:32:24 PM »
When watching, I noticed that at many times, MU would have two players running out to get a hand in the face of an open shooter only to leave someone else wide open.  Shouldn't there be only one person doing that?  Was that miscommunication or is that how the defense is suppose to work?

No, I remember a few times where we blew assignments.  You never want two guys going for the same shot especially outside of 4 feet.  The blown assignments have me most worried about Buzz's defensive prowess going forward.  Those are just bad signs, I can accept getting busted because of our short stature but running around lost with a veteran team has me worried about next year and the year after.

Aside a few breakdowns, we held the #8 team to less than 70 points on their home court.  There's nothing too wrong with the D.
