WE will make the NCAA tourney easily as we have big wins.  The key to tourney success however, is to go in as a top five seed. Otherwise you have little chance of surviving two rounds. For the rest of the year we must beat all the teams we should or win most of them and have another upset to go in as a top five. Marquette does not get the respect of teams like Duke who can right now be penciled in as a 3,4 or 5 despite what they do the rest of the year. Go Marquette. It is the time to put the hammer down on some upcoming  opponents who are beatable

Let's go for a top four seed.  I believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the dangers of the Bermuda triangle and the 5-12 matchup. (reference Tulsa)

I don't believe in Santa Claus, or the Easter Bunny, or the Bermuda Triangle.  But I do believe in gravity, the first and second laws of thermodynamics, the truth of scripture, and the annual upset in that 5-12 matchup.  I'd feel better with 4 also.

Avoid the 4 and 5 seed. Go for a 3 or a 6.

Actually, I think if a team isn't going to be a 2 or 3 seed, they're almost better off with a 6 or 7.  Typically the #1 seeds are far better than the #2 seeds--a 4 or 5 will wind up facing a #1 seed in their third game.  The 3/6 winner will face the #2 seed, and not have to face a #1 until the elite eight.

Same thing with the 8/9 versus 10 seed.  I'd much rather be a 10 seed than the 8 or 9--if you win your first game you don't have to face the #1 seed in the 2nd game.
