What does that mean at the top in "news" that we got two wins?

I'm guessing because of that crap foul call on the tipped pass after the missed FT at the end of regulation.

Wow, that's a tough sentence to read.  Marquette would have won in regulation if they hadn't called that foul, and in 90% (or more) of games that call would never happen in the last seconds.

I think he means we should have won in regulation but apparently the mugging on the rebound and over the back non-call which setup Pitt's tying free throws was just to delay our victory in the end.

At least that's my interpretation.   ;D

I have a hard time complaining about the officials.  We did our very best to mess the bed in the last couple minutes of reg. McNeal's foul was really, really stupid and darn near cost us the game. That said, great game and I'll say this because its true (at the moment anyway)...we won because we are the better team.

Whodda thunk we'd win this one at the free throw line?

Great job by all. Ooze = player of the game.

As mentioned before:
First "win" - in regulation...lousy last second foul call on McNeal.
Second win - the real one...in OT.

I am amazed at the ability of MU to close this game. Yes, they did get lucky and need to refine their FT shooting, but they stuck it to the faves.

GO MU!!!

I didn't think Jerel's foul was stupid .. just that he was the one that did the PF.  We were up 3, fouling puts them at the line for 2.  Of course, they missed the 2nd and we TANKED the rebound .. but I like the idea of putting them in a position to score 2 when they need 3.

Too much time when he fouled afew seconds later and I might agree. Also, that isn't what he was doing. It wasn't intentional, he was going for the steal when they didn't need it.

Its not a bad idea but he fouled to early and it was his fifth foul.  I personally would never foul in that situation.  make em eat the clock by playing solid defense.  They hit a tough 3 to tie, oh well, get em in OT.

I don't think McNeal's foul was stupid at all, neither did the announcers.  It took an absolute miracle for Pitt to tie that game and three things had to happen and they all did.

In the end, it's a win over the top team in the league.

Using the agreement of Billy Packer to validate a point? C'mon dude, you're better than that!
