Damian Saunders's line

Today's line: 22 and 14.

Would have been a nice presence on this year's team, off the bench.

So far this season: 13.6 ppg, 7.9 rpg, 2.2 apg, 2.2 bpg, 2.2 spg, 6 double-doubles

He starts at the 5 for Duquesne, he would surely start over Burke for us.  But he probably wouldn't have been half as good had he come here.

Saunders gets to be more of abig fish in a small pond stats wise, but there is no doubt he would contribute for us.  If you are bringgin up Creans decison making when it comes to recruitng that is a whole other ball game, his recruitng had turned into a joke...resulting in double didgit losing seasons for MU during his last 5 years and 7 of his 9, actually 8 of his 10 as a head coach including his 20 loss season this year....yet he is going to lead Iu to the promised land...actaully over heard an Iu fan/idiot yeatsrday saying Crean would make everyone forget about bob knight... ::)

Agree. The current senior class he brought in is a joke. ::)

His recruiting certainly wasn't perfect, but you make the guy out to be the worst coach in history.

Get over it, dude.

Yeah, it was definitely a joke Hayward.

#1 all time scorer in MU history - Crean recruit
#2 all time assist leader and likely #2 all time scorer in MU History - Crean recruit
#1 all time free throws made and likely top 7 all time scorer in MU history - Crean recruit
If Hayward stays, could end up #1 all time scorer in MU history - Crean recruit
#1 all time 3 point shooter in MU history - Crean recruit
#1 all time steals leader - Crean recruit
Two top 7 blocked shot leaders all time

And on and on....some guy named Wade that isn't even in the list above comes to mind, too.

Terrible recruiter....a joke in fact.

ironic ~ some are foolishly anti crean and others are foolishly pro-crean.

Really, I'm just foolishly pro Marquette.  I also like facts so when someone says recruiting was a joke it doesn't really hold with the facts.  Either that or I guess we've had the most incredible coaching in America the last 5 years because with "joke recruiting", it would be kind of hard to make it to the NCAAs without great coaching.   ;)
