Excuse for Duke to play in NY every other year.  St. Johns has upset them a few times when you wouldn't expect it at all over the past decade.  I suppose they could play Fordham or Manhattan or Columbia or something.  Just no good college hoops teams in NYC right now.
Calvin:  I'm a genius.  But I'm a misunderstood genius.
Hobbes:  What's misunderstood about you?
Calvin:  Nobody thinks I'm a genius.

Young Johnnies waited too long to come back in this one. Actually got close towards the end.

I missed a good chunk of the game, but I'm not sure why St. John's did anything other than drive to the basket - Duke couldn't stop them, and SJU was getting a good number of boards on the offensive end.  Biggest problems  for them were ball handling and defending the perimeter.

Is it just me... or will Duke be the first #1-#2 seed out of the tournament this year... their team is just out of gas, and really isn't that good

The idea of having 1 athletic player and 4 unathletic players around him just baffles me... Scheyer hasn't panned out the way Duke has wanted him to I have to feel.

pure genius stuff by Bill Simmons, remember to read day 2

Dry White Toast

to improve Duke's RPI (opponent's opponents)...pretty smart actually.

Not an issue. Duke is not a #1 or #2 seed right now. Things could change, but they aren't one of the top 8 teams in the country right now.

I bet you a lot of us would take Scheyer's shooting right now.

Not I.

He's a defensive liability.
