MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Brewers and Amtrak are teaming up for a road game in Chicago.

The first 100 Brewers fans who buy tickets to the Cubs' Sept. 17 game at Wrigley Field will get a free, round-trip ride to Chicago on Amtrak. Individual tickets for that game go on sale Feb. 20.

The Brewers call the promotion Miller Park South.

The 100 Amtrak riders will get a special Miller Park South shirt — as will 1,500 additional fans that attend the game in Chicago and bring their game tickets to a Miller Park retail store.

Miller Park South? From a Brewers fan, that's LAME. As is "Wrigley North," "Bradley Center South," or any such nickname for an opponent's stadium.

Will they give me a free round trip when I come to Wrigley North?

MilWarrior

I thought this was pathetic as soon as I read about it. Stupid. Also a Brewers fan.

The name's stupid, but a free Amtrak ride's pretty nice.

Smart move on Amtrak's part.  Almost guaranteed to not have to pay it out.

I like the Admirals "Don't be like Mike" a lot better than this.

Can't they just keep the money and use it to get better players?  Braden Looper was our best free agent signing...

At least they didn't resign Sheets.

So wait.  If I get a ticket to this game can I get a free ride down to Wrigley?  They can't say no because I am a Cubs fan can they?

Yeah, I think it's a sweet deal.  Although how do you signify that you are a "Brewers" fan ordering? Do you order via brewers.com?

It would be a fun outing, I think.

I disagree about the name, though:  I do enjoy calling Allstate Ark "BC South" and Miller Park "Wrigley North."  It's all about the fan followings, you know?  I don't think enough brewers fan would end up at Wrigley to warrant "Miller South" but it's not a bad thought.

im going to start a promotion, i have 5 seats in my car (7 if i can get the minivan).  When the cubs play the brewers, the first 5-7 people that call me can hop in my car/van and we will take a trip up north...AND I WON'T CHARGE FOR GAS!!

Yeah, that's what's got me confused.
