Article from St. Pete Times.  Says he will be visiting Syracuse this weekend, Oregon State in the future and still interested in MU.

What happened to him coming to MU this weekend?  Syracuse???  Oregon State???

Most likely one of the sides moved along.  My guess seeing how we're moving on some other 2009 recruits, it was a MU decision.

I suspect that the Monterale Clark 2010 committment has a lot to do with whatever the Riley situation might be now....

How can Clark still be a JUCO next year? Didn't he graduate two years ago? I had heard he was out of school/ball for awhile. I would not stop recruiting Riley because of Clark.

He was apparently in a prep school last year.  His grade point is satifactory so far.  Only question would be as to transferability of credits.

Here's the Clark timeline:

Fall 2003- Spring 2006:  Milwaukee King
Fall 2006- Spring 2007:  Pius XI
Summer 2007:  Milwaukee Edison(graduated)
Fall 2007- Spring 2008:  Ware Prep Academy(Georgia)
Fall 2008 - Spring 2010:  Hill Junior College

MU has not moved on from Riley. The latest supposedly is that he will visit mid week for the UCONN game.

It has been kind of a strange recruitment for sure.

This is the 5th time they've had to schedule the visit. That's unusual.

And doesn't sound like a high priority...

Difficulty scheduling Riley's visit - This is what happens when  senior does not sign in te ealry signing period in November.  Trying to schedule visits around his high school team's schedule and MU being home and the weather not an easy thing to do.

As for the Clark gys - seems like there are issues about his grades / credits - why would MU take a chance on something like that?  Seems reckless

The last time there was report of Clark having academic issues was when he was at King (2003-2006).

I don't claim to know much about the kid, but if he's matured and started to take academics more seriously in the past 3 years I'd look at that as a positive.

With regards to credits, it's always a risk to not get your all of credits transferred when you're transferring schools.  If he comes to MU, Buzz will make sure that the young man has his academics in order.  MU isn't Cincinnati ;)

That would depend what you consider academic issues. Looking at the time line provided above it would appear that it took Clark extra summer school and a year of prep school not to qualify. Minimum NCAA standards are not that difficult to meet. Five years of high school and prep with summer school should have provided plenty of opportunity to meet those standards.
