Favre re-retires
« on: February 11, 2009, 09:05:50 AM »
per espn.  As with the Packers, Favre asked to be released so that he could make his own deal with a team of his choosing, but the Jets denied.

I've seen this movie before.  I'll believe Favre is "retired" when he sits out a season -- and even that might be a bit premature.

I guess we should start the pool for when he declares he is coming back. I am going for late April, probably the 23rd.

Maybe he will call up the 27 or so quarterbacks that played for the Bears while he was at Green Bay so they can see his Superbowl Ring... and admire his three MVP trophies.

Cade McNown called, he wants back in the NFL... no one would listen.

Brett would do well to talk to Terry Bradshaw.

Bradshaw held onto bitterness about the team, the coach, the owner, the fans and how he perceived he had been treated when he left.

He realized years later how much genuine love he had for them and vice versa and was finally able to put it aside and reconcile with them.
