A question that hasn't been beaten to death yet....
« on: January 16, 2007, 02:34:13 PM »
Everybody has discussed what Amo might have brought to this team.   My question is, where would we be now if we still had Mortenson and he lived up to HIS potential?  I am thinking that a 6'6" stand still shooter who can hit the three point shot would be an asset.   Also, since as of yet we aren't getting much from Blackledge, would having a second-year freshman be more of a benefit than a juco transfer?    He would have a year in the system, decent size and a decent shot.    Shame he (rightfully, I have heard) had to have his scholly yanked.

i asked that questions a couple of weeks ago and the reponse was pretty much what i expected.... he is missed this year.  Not many people remembered him since he didn't play that season, but in practice and the scrimmages he looked good.  it would have been nice to have his body size too, maybe due to science, but he was built.  oh well, guess we'll never know.  i wonder where he wound up.

nowhere i would imagine...at least to play basketball.  since his schollie was revoked due to an ncaa violation - and not just MU or team rules - he is ineligible to receive a schollie from any other school, and possibly participate in any ncaa sponsored events.  i suppose he could play juco somewhere, or maybe naia.  the kid messed up pretty good, unfortunately...

He should stop sharing skittles with Barry Bonds.
