GO MARQUETTE!!!!! MU IS ABSOLUTELY ROLLING RIGHT NOW and we've all got to make the most of it while its happening, SO LETS PARTY!   But I have been surprised to see so little of Otule, McMorrow, Cubian, Fulce.  Especially in some of these games that present opportunities for them to get valuable minutes, because afterall we could need them all down the stretch.  In the back of my mind it'd be nice to know that we do have a couple BIGS down the bench.

i agree that bench help would be nice but otule and fulce have been hurt and mcmorrow red shirted so he isnt playing this year. cubbs could help us with his shooting but he has been out of favor because mo has been playing so well. if butler and acker keep it up and we can get a little help out of otule/hazel our bench should fill its role

well, McMurrow isn't going to play this season.  as for the others, i understand your point, and i too would like to see the 6-9 guys get a little more run, but you can't argue with buzz's game management up to this point.

i'd much rather have the top 7 on the floor at all times and find spots to fit 8-11 into games as the situations dictate.

more and more and more kudos to buzz.

and jerel, wes, DJ, Lazar, Mo-Ack, Jimmy - well  played young men!

...and what ever happened to Pat Hazel?

I have to believe Buzz feels these players are ready if the situation dictates such as fouls, matchup, injury.  Until he needs them, he isn't going to play them.  I expect just when we feel we may never see these players in a game again, the situation will dictate playing them.

None of them are going to be providing us with anything this year.  If we are ever in a position where we are going to "need" them, we are screwed.  And a few seconds of PT in garbage time isn't going to help that.

Agreed. The expectation for Otule in particular have been unfair. It is becoming pretty obvious Buzz is not going to play him.

You use the bench when you need to or to give the starters a rest, and Buzz has done that as much as he could.  The last bunch of games were not going to allow any major PT for Otule, for example.  Even in the DePaul game, no way he was getting in before maybe hte last minute, and he didn't get in for that.  ANd in terms of need, Acker and Butler have been giving good efforts to give a couple of our guys a breather, but if our big four are not if foul trouble, not exhausted, they are playing well - what the heck.  They're in.

Butler is the same size and is completely outplaying him.  Additionally Burke and Hayward have stayed out of foul trouble.  Butler is getting his minutes and zar and Dwight are keeping theirs.  They are better.

We've won 12 games in a row...we're the only undefeated team in the Big East. Let's stick with the formula that's been working. O'Tule, Fulce, and the rest of the guys on the bench will get their opportunities when the time calls for it. Right now, the 7-8 man rotation is what's working so Buzz is going to stick with it.
