Great job by Kinsella.
« on: January 15, 2007, 10:10:44 PM »
Barro goes down with 2 fouls and Burke gets abused by Padgett.  Crean counters with Kinsella and he contributes 2 points and 2 rebounds in 3-4 minutes. Commits a silly foul but the guy missed them both so that counts too.  Great perseverance by Mike in what has had to be an amazingly difficult 3 years.  Congrat Mike, huge key to tonight's W

I agree, Mike looked sharp for that 3-4 minute stretch. Last week it was Burke this time it was MK's turn. Good teams have role players that step up when the front five are wounded.

I was surprised Crean didn't go back to him later in the game.

i noticed Robert Jackson on the bench again last night.  Do you think the increased production out of our bigs (ooze, burke, and now kinsella) has anything to do with Jackson.  Maybe that crean brought him in as a big man coach or as a consultant?  whatever he has been doing with these kids, it has been working as they have been playing better D and rebounding a ton better than we were against small teams earlier in the season.  Keep Robert Jackson on the bench, i like his presence as he was the last true MU post player.

If I heard it right Crean said that JMac was helping out with practice before the game yesterday morning.  Our bigs having to go up against a former NBA center can't be hurting their game performance either.
