Then how do we not jump Dook?  They lost to Wake this week.  Wake is ahead of Dook.

because dook won't fall enough with the loss and Wake gave GT their first conference win

Hell, we hav'nt played anybody yet. We'll be lucky to be in the top 10. South Carolina beat Kentucky and got more headlines than us. So did Pitt after beating ND. Hope it continues. Just makes our guys all the more hungry.

Am I the only one that doesn't think we will jump Wake?  I really feel that we will stay the same, if anyone is going to jump both wake and dook it will prob be LOU

g0lden3agle

I voted 7th before I actually read how the teams above us did, but now I'm leaning towards maintaining an 8th rank... I don't see how we are gonna jump Wake with them beating Duke, and I find it highly unlikely that Pitt will fall down to 8th allowing us to jump them.

We are reaching a plateau in ranking, especially with the caliber of our next couple games.  For those that our rank really matters to, we need to be looking for no slip-ups on our end and some tough BEast/ACC games to force some losses above us if we want to break into the top 5

TallTitan34

I'm thinking a win at Notre Dame and against Georgetown is better than losing to Georgia Tech and beating Duke.

I could easily see us staying at 8 though.

You mean a game like Uconn @ Lou?

bilsu

I think we will remain 8th, but our votes will go up and thus the point margin between us and the teams above us will shrink.

chapman

I think we pass Wake and Pitt.  We'll be 6th and it'll look like this:

UConn
Oklahoma
UNC
Louisville
Duke
Marquette

dcmk89

At best we jump Wake.

Really though, if the voters aren't ignorant, we stay at 8.

What we did this week validated are current ranking more than give reason to move us up.

Wake shouldnt fall much at all, Pitt will likely drop to 6 ahead of us and Louiville, and Duke will be 4 or 5, interchangeable with Wake.

GT isn't as bad a loss as it looks, that team has a lot of talent. Wake's win vs Duke should balance that out.

MUBBau

Maybe someone will forget to vote for us and we will drop a spot in the rankings...
