Three critical wins, @ NC State, @ Providence, @ ND.

I watched all three and during the final 8 minutes of each game, they were remarkable.

Also, did you hear McNeil after the game about cheering for ND on Saturday because they wanted to be the team that broke the ND home victory streak...

The confidence was amazing.

I see the Otule, Fulce discussions, but I think we do not need big men to score, we need them for D and to date, Burke and Hazel have done the job.  If we need Otule or Fulce, it will be to cover for foul trouble.

I think Acker and Cubillan need to be in there more to spell the Fab 3 + Haywood.  I think that they also need to be in there to lay the foundation for next year.

Wade passed on to Diener, Diener to Novak, Novak to the Fab 3, the Fab 3 now to Haywood, but we will need Acker and Cubillan's support.

Can we please spell our players names right.

McNeal and Hayward

nyg

Acker has stepped up, well at least defensively to support. Cubes only support will be to give McNeal 2 to 3 minutes of rest and we all pray when Cubes is on the court. Cubes does not have to be in/play to lay next year's foundation. Shame how his game is gone.

Acker was good last night.  Cubes will get his next year. I just dont think he is 100%
You heard it here first. Davante Gardner will be a Beast this year.

SWARM!

I wouldn't count on it.  I'm sure Cubillan is a great kid with a great attitude, but he's just not very good.  He's not a Big East quality player, and his physical attributes pretty much preclude him from playing any meaningful minutes both this year and next.  It might be a different story if he could still shoot from the outside a little bit, but he can't.

His minutes will be very similar next year if he's back.  Buycks, Williams, Cadougan, Butler, and Acker will get 95% of the minutes at the guard positions next year.

Perhaps the mods should add players and coaches names to the spell check dictionary. The fact that it still tries to change Crean to Creon is annoying.

I'm going to hate having to double check cadougan all the time.

I could let the McNeil one slide...but Haywood??? Seriously? He's been with the team for 3 years now and you don't even have the name right, let alone the spelling! It's Hayward!

Acker has been solid in stretches. Sometimes it's just an issue of who he's matched up with. He did a hell of a job on McAlarney defensively, but that's also because McAlarney is, what, 5'11? Maybe 6'1 at the most. Acker can hang with guys that size. It's when he's forced to defend the guys that are 6'3 and above that his deficiences are more evident.

He was great last night, even if the stat line didn't show it.

mugrack

Maybe he's talking about Haywood Jablowme, famous guy hanging out in the Marquette bars. ;D

Not so sure... I think his role will be the same.

I don't know about him.  I think he is fine for the Big East.  He seemed to be a guy who can play a few minutes, play some great D, and drain the open 3.  Not any more.  Hasn't been the same AT ALL since that shoulder crap.

cubes won't see many more mins next year either. My guess is that Junior Cadugon starts at point guard, but splits significant time with mo (defense is better). But I think it'd probly be in our teams best interest next year to throw the freshman point guard in the fire.
