Warrior

from Rosiak's post game blog......

James who went down in pain in the closing seconds after being bumped on a layup by Harangody, suffered a bruised right shin. The injury is not considered to be serious.

Whew - I hope Rosiak's info is right on this one!

I'm guessing he got it straight from a trainer, given the "not considered" part of it.

Not a surprise. DJ goes down writhing in "pain" more times than any player in college basketball.

I certainly remember a guy wearing a #3 that did it quite a bit as well...

You cannot doubt his toughness though, I think it was more a "fear" reaction on DJ's part, I know I let out a yelp

wow, what a d-bag thing to say.  he may go down in pain because he takes more abuse than any player on our team.  plus please name how many of the phantom injuries he has had over the past 2 years.  i'll say the first couple years were kind of ridiculous, but the past two this kid has been tough as nails.

My initial thought from the play, before I saw the replay, was that Harangody stepped right on his ankle.  I thought he might be done for the season--broken ankle, etc.  Thank god it wasn't that serious.

Actually, I thought it was a very smart play on DJ's part.  It looked like he sold the injury to the refs and prevented a quick inbounds - allowing our defense to get set.  Anyone complaining that DJ goes down too much, surely hasn't played sports.........other than ride the pine while harboring spite for the starters.

That's the only thing that tempered my celebration (not that it was THAT tempered)...glad DJ is okay.

That guy who wore #23 for the Chicago Bulls seemed to go down in alarming pain quite often.

Anyhow, who cares. Truth is, we've seen much, much less of that from DJ the past couple seasons now that he seems to have his cramping issues under control.

And I can't remember him going down AT ALL this entire year.   So shut your pie hole.

Glad to hear DJ's OK (and also glad he doesn't go down as much this year).

Speaking of injuries, anybody hear anything about Hillesland?  They were saying it was an ankle on TV, but it looked to me like his knee buckled.  I said to my wife that I fully expect to hear tomorrow that he blew his knee.  Has anyone heard anything?

like i said ... direct trauma to the shin = painful.  i think shin kicking is something they teach in self-defense classes, actually . . .

oh well so what if he's a good actor, it certainly doesn't hurt us, does it??

Or do you mean now that he's not being run ragged in extended practices that include martial arts and tackling dummys.
