If you're an Indiana fan and you watch this MU team, my guess is that you feel its just a matter of time before Crean's team plays like this. It will not happen.  This MU team is talented and plays together so well.  Its 3 great players who all know their roles and a 4th in Hayward who seems underappreciated but is a great player himself.  These guys are tough-minded who have benefited from playing together for 4 years and the battles they've participated in these past few years.  They complement each other very well and Buzz has given them the freedom they've earned.  Its a great team and one that Crean will have to get very lucky to re-create even though he'll be expected to in Bloomington.

Can some of the "process" peolpe give Buzz some love?

I will...I truly believed Buzz was in over his head on this job.  What I didn't anticipate (and none of us could really given his lack of HC experience) is him taking Crean's players to another level like he has.

Also, I like that he recognizes his limitations and that he may not be the "best" coach on the floor, but takes care of that by just plain working harder.  Clearly, there is no D-1 coach in the country that is going to outwork this guy or show more hunger.  Despite his humility, I believe in a few years he will be considered one of the best out there.

If he keeps this success going, and given his recruiting abilities, we may be in for an amazing ride under Buzz.  Great Job Coach!

Well said MUinCO. When empirical evidence proves an opinion (no matter how well thought out) to be mistaken, a prudent man reassesses and admits his error. Too many on this board would rather equivocate, insisting they were still essentially "right" in spite of mounting evidence to the contrary. The truth will set you free.

A lot of the people who voiced concern over the process that resulted in Buzz being hired weren't worried about this season.

Buzz deserves credit for noted differences in this team compared to the last three seasons. For those people who feel there is nothing wrong with being skeptical, the whole of their mind will change beginning next season when Buzz has an entire program of his own.

Never been a Crean fan and I will bash him when warranted but also give credit when it is due . The simple fact remains that without TC we would not be watching the 3 amigos this amazing season. He recruited and got them to come to MU and deserves credit for that.
Whether or not they blossomed as players as much as they should have under his tutelage is another story.

I think some posters are off their rockers... Crean gave us some great seasons.  My issue is the way he left.  As for how he ran the program, I am not a basketball expert but I play and watch a ton.  I don't think it takes a genius to realize the Amigos potential.  I remember watching their freshmen year and thinking to myself, this really could eventually become a national championship team.  To bring in only one (Hayward) additional great player during the Amigos stay blows me away.  I know we lost TT and Williams but we all know what piece we are missing to be considered a National Championship contender.  That's my rant and I am over it.
