Forty under 40 winners named by Business Journal
The Business Journal of Milwaukee

   

Buzz Williams, Marquette University men's basketball coach, and Christine Specht, president of Cousin's Subs, highlight the list of the winners of The Business Journal's 2009 Forty under 40 awards.

Others to garner the popular honor this year include Adam Siegel, executive chef at Bacchus and Lake Park Bistro restaurants in Milwaukee; Chris Jaeger, general manager of Bayshore Town Center in Glendale; and Milwaukee Ald. Nik Kovac. For a complete list of the 2009 class of Forty under 40, please see below.

"This is a great group of honorees," said Mark Kass, editor of The Business Journal. "They represent the best and the brightest of the future community leaders of southeast Wisconsin."

This is the 16th year that The Business Journal has honored Milwaukee's up-and-coming leaders. Previous winners include Milwaukee restaurateur Joe Bartolotta, We Energies executive Thelma Sias and MillerCoors executive Kim Marotta.

The Business Journal received about 220 nominations for this year's program. The winners range from attorneys to retail store owners to real estate executives.

The winners will be honored in a special section in the March 6 issue of The Business Journal and at a March 9 awards event at The Pfister Hotel.

Damnit!  I wasn't on the list again, and I'm turning 40 in two months.

If it is any consolation, I have had two sisters in law receive that distinction within the last 15 years.  It hasn't done much for either of them.
