Someone might want to show him the play-by-play from last year.

West Virginia had their starters in until the very end.

This is an excellent get - wow - this ends the discussion - Huggins must have lost some of his memory.  You should send this to that writer of the West Virginia article - ha!

ChicosBailBonds

Let me start off by saying my father was a post-graduate of WVU and taught geology and geophysics there in the 1960's for a number of years before moving on to the oil industry.  I've always had tremendous respect for WVU.  I also worked in the athletic departments of Indiana, Kansas and Marquette so I know my way around block a bit when it comes to you media types and coaches.

So now that we have that out of the way, let's cut to the skinny.

I read your article today about Huggins and Marquette with some amusement.  This is the same Huggins that had his team up 35 points at Columbus this year against OSU while they were chest bumping and high fiving all over the court late in the game....that same Huggins, right?  The same Huggins that coached at Cincinnati for years as they took on Marquette for over a decade usually with 10 future players that would never graduate from UC vs 10 players that absolutely would from MU, yet the games were always competitive, at least for most years.  The same Huggins that had players accused of raping women, punching horses, punching Marquette players in the groin (Donald Little), all while Huggins was trying to stay sober enough to get home on a nightly basis.  That same Huggins?

At some point you guys in Morgantown are going to have to call the Huggy what he is, but I realize you can't do that now or Huggy will cut you off....that's how he works.  He got away with that in Cincinnati, he'll get away with it even more in Morgantown since he's the prodigal son returning home and Morgantown is Morgantown....meaning you guys don't want to cut off the gravy train in a town that doesn't have a lot going on (not a rip on Morgantown, I enjoy it very much but reality is reality).  That's fine, we get it.  But at the end of the day this is Huggy's typical act of "anger" or feigned outrage over a bunch of players having fun in a game against a strong opponent in WVU.  They got excited and Huggy didn't like it.  Well Huggy should look at his own teams through the years before he starts casting aspersions.  Perhaps he should look at last year's game with WVU up about 25 points over Marquette and his starters still playing.

Warm regards

PS    We would have burned a couch here in LA on the front lawn to celebrate yesterday's win, but felt the better part of valor was needed.  Afterall, it might set Huggy bear off.

Huggins is smarter than that. I never look much into running the score up in college basketball, especially in league play vs. a ranked team. No lead is ever safe, and the only reason we have one or 2 starters in until the final horn is because everyone would be lost without them. I could care less about this, I almost hope we have a rematch @ MSG, teach these clowns a lesson again.
It's not about ME,
It's about US.

Huggins would prefer to get his revenge at the hands of Gerald McNeal, who put 27 points up on the board while pouring it on late, and Dominic James and Wesley Matthews, the three senior leaders of the team.

That writer should have looked up Big East Defensive Player of the Year 2006-2007 to get correct spelling of Jerel's name, or he could just continue living under that rock in Morgantown.

Really, guy?

Lurch, Lurch, Lurch.   What would Diane Bishop say?    Or were you going for irony?
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Chicos I think your note would have been more effective and more in the true nature of your personality if you dropped numerous names of different personalities that you have met recently, as well.  those clods in West Virginia are even more impressied with that stuff than we are.

It would be unfortunate to have it come next year, for this is a senior-laden Marquette team that schooled his freshmen on a cold January day in the city made famous by Henry Aaron, Miller Beer, and Laverne and Shirley
.

Doesn't he know that Schlitz was the beer that made Milwaukee famous?

That wouldn't be too effective.  On the other hand, I wanted to make it clear to him that I wasn't just some moron from Indiana that was simply offended by his column, but rather someone that's been in the industry and completely understands how coaches use writers to further their agenda publicly.  And if the reporters don't play along and carry the water of said coach, they risk being cut off.  In the big city you usually can't get away with that, but in Morgantown you can.  How's that Tom Crean voodoo doll?  I bet you could get 14 sales on this board right away.

On a side note, we remain impressed with your grammar and use of sentence structure here.  Were you out sick when they taught English 001, 002?
