Currently in college basketball only 4 teams have a trio of 1,000 career point players.

Marquette: Dominic James, Jerel McNeal, Wesley Matthews
North Carolina: Tyler Hansbrough, Wayne Ellington, Danny Green
North Dakota State: Ben Woodside, Brett Winkelman, Mike Nelson
UAB: Robert Vaden, Lawrence Kinnard, Paul Delaney

Lazar Hayward currently has 912 points meaning once he tallys 88 more points Marquette will be the only team in the nation with four 1,000 career point scorers.

Whoa. Great statistic. It'll be especially great in a month or so, when Lazar joins the club. By tournament time, there's an outside that we'll have three 1,500-pt players (if Wes, with 1,282, steps up; Jerel and DJ are there).

Didn't we lose that NDSU? Like 2 years ago, or even last season?

And yes I could just look, but I am lazy today.

Thats a stat Len Elmore could use in NYC for the BE tourney.. now only if they all were born and raised in NYC... then could they get some face time for their play.  ::)

I'm not sure if UAB, UNC, or NDS has anyone who is going to reach that mark this season.

UNC does.  Ty Lawson is at 997 right now.  So he'll have over 1000 a couple minutes into the game on Sunday.

Thanks bma.  Well I guess we will be 1 of 2 teams once Lazar reaches 1,000 but hey, not bad company huh?  Amazing what these 3 and Lazar have done in their careers.
