That's going to bowl over defenders in the lane for a layup AND ONE!  ;)

Looking at him, I would guess that if he was from the States, we would have played football.  An athlete like that with his body would probably be a back or safety.  He looks like a load.

He surely will not be getting knocked around a whole lot in the BEAST.

I predict he will be an all-time great at Marquette.

0% of precincts reporting. It's the use of this type of exageration/expecation.hyperbole, that drives me nuts as a sports fan, don't subjugate Marquette fans to that kind of garbage. You have got to be kidding me, let him get to freshman orientation, before you start anointing him. He looks like the player they compare him to, Khalid El Amin.

Thank you for the calrificvation, but the statement holds still for most of the posters on this board and the state of Sports Jounralism in general. I.E. There is no way we know that Tim Tebow is a once in a generation player, nor can you even make that statement without lookign back at the er'as in which each player played.  ANotehr aexample being Tyler Hansborough, who the only reaosn he has broken records, liek J.J. Redick si that he sucked too much to ever make it in the NBA to begin with. So He is jsut good enough to eb a great college player, but not good enough to ever amount to anything in the Pro's. Sorry for the tangent, but this has been increasingly more frustrating as days have gone by.

Just because Tebow and Hansborough aren't going pro means nothing. They are/have been great college players, bottom line.

OneMadWarrior

Great college players sure, but All-time Great "football" or basketball players, Once in a lifetime players and so on and so forth. I believe the Recently decseased Sammy Baugh would have something to say about that, or Pete Maravich. Tyler Hansborugh may not even make the all-time great team at UNC in terms of best players to come through that school.

Being the leading scorer at UNC and a fantastic player makes it hard to believe he will not be an all-time great player.  Like Marqptm said, they're great college players hands down.

I'll say it....kid looks fat.  He'll have to step up the conditioning big time.  But if he's this good at this weight, hopefully he'll be outstanding at a decent fighting weight.

WashDCWarrior

I'd rather have a player coming in that needs to slim down some, than one that needs to bulk up.

CAINMUTINY

Just a note.....kid was a bit overweight and then broke his foot which has caused even greater weight gain.  He'll be fine, especially with MU's conditioning regime and control over nutrition.

The kid's body type looks a lot like Kalid El-Amin from UConn a few years back.  If he's got the game to match, I'll take that every time.

He's not fat, he's big boned.

RubyWiscy

Glad he got the broken foot out of the way before he gets to MU.

I am sure he has broken a few chairs too.

Dang we got a bunch of Pauly Shores on this site.    Get the fat jokes out of the way fellas because his thickness is part of what makes him an effective player.   He moves really well at this size too imagine if he drops just 10 lbs.   He's always going to be big no matter, it's his body type, so get used to it.

Muhoops85

Good thing I don't post pics of posters on this board, I have a feeling that the fat jokes would stop.

Put it this way...Cadougan's gotta better build than I do!!! Therefore, I will not make any jokes about his weight. I did get an opportunity to watch the kid play the other night on TWC32 and it looks like he's got the skills to pay the bills...(sorry, been listening to a lot of 80's hip hop lately). Great court awareness, high basketball IQ, and unselfish passer are just some of the things that were said about him by the TWC32 announcers...one of which was Shannon Smith (blast from the past!)

Here's to hoping that he lives up to the hype!

People used to say the same thing about Damon Key, let's just hope Junior can drop those 10lbs (unlike Key).
