Time Warner Cable Sports 32 To Replay MU's Instant Classic Tuesday

Time Warner Cable Sports 32, thanks to its partnership with ESPN, will replay Marquette's exciting last-second victory over NC State on Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. CT.

In other words, just like the Wisconsin game, Crime Warner was too cheap or too stupid to air the game for its subscribers, but would like you to believe it is doing you a favor by airing a replay.

Hmmm...I doubt it's either them being cheap or stupid.  Chicos could probably verify this (or tell me I'm full of crap), but I think ESPN basically has first right of refusal to air any games that a Big East team is playing.  If they choose to put a game on ESPNU (like last night), they probably hold the exclusive right to the game - since they want more providers to put ESPNU in their packages.  If they sold co-broadcast rights to local stations, they'd lose most of their negotiating power.

So - I think it's a strong arm move by ESPN - not negligence by TWS.
