Watching the UW-OSU game...

Not a doubt in my mind that the Bradley Center is a far better environment than the Kohl Center. Student sections aren't even close, and it takes a ton to get the old folks up. Our crowd Sunday was as good if not better than the one in Madison tonight, and theirs is a much bigger game.

I realized two things when waching that game:

1.  We don't even belong in the same gym with those teams (atleast right now).

2.  Erin Andrews is reaaaaaally hot

No, because their team didn't miss many free throws.

Oden still shoots 58% from the line and he uses his left hand, which he just started doing once he got injured this year. 

OSU shot 28% from the field in the first half and was still barely down at half. that is the difference when you actually make a couple 3's. 

speaking of outside shooting, Glen Davis from LSU is 8 for 20 from behind the arc this year.  i would take that in a heartbeat for one of our guards.

They shot 59% from the line, even worse than our season average.  Tucker was 1 for 6 from the line.  Those people were paying good money, and didn't deserve to have to put up with their star player missing so many free throws.  They deserved better.  He should have been heard their displeasure.

I thought the exact opposite....we lost to WI by 4 playing basketball way below what we are capable of, if anything it made me see that if we can start hitting shots, we can beat anyone.  OSU included.

agree 100%    10 pts 7 boards in 30 minutes, and Butch is the one guarding you (along with multiple people), thats not first pick quality.  Also with only like 5 minutes left in the game he only had 2 points, I think OSU did a real bad job getting him the ball, there isn't anyone on WI that couldve stopped him, and time after time they had offensive positions and Oden was getting no touches, even the really cute bartender at the small pub I was at who had no clue about basketball said "I would just keep giving him the ball, hes HUGE"

I would take Ogden #1 in a heartbeat. Just look at the guy move. I haven't seen a 7 footer this athletic in a long time, maybe since the college and early NBA Zo. Ogden is basically playing with one hand. You can't have much of a offensive game without having full use of your dominant hand. You cannot deny that Ogden is a force on the defensive end and on the boards. His offense will get better as the season goes on and his hand heals and the team adjusts to him in the lineup.

Tucker's team is winning, Tucker has always been a bad FT shooter, Tucker does a million other things to help his team win.

Finally if 18,000 folks can heap praise on a player, why can't a few fellow students boo?  If a player can handle free drinks at Murphs, a free burger from Ziggies, hundreds of co-eds fawning all all over them and scores of 10 years asking for their autographs why can't they handle a boo or two when they miss 3 FTs in a row?

we actually played not so bad against WI considering their rank at this time.

I thought that the UW/MU game wasn't as close as the final score indicated. UW came in to our house and basically controlled the entire game. They looked and played like the superior team that they are. They never allowed us to go on any big runs and get the crowd into it. UW was able to hit clutch shots every time MU needed a stop. Granted they had some lucky shots, but thats the way it goes.

I don't know....in hindsight MU did make a run at the end of the game.  Like last night,  when Ohio State put on the press, it climbed back into the game, until Jamar Butler missed a potential game tying three-point shot at the buzzer.  Had MU started pressing UW earlier, I think we could have surprised Bucky.

Oden is playing with ONE hand--literally, I mean, he can't even really USE his other hand!  No way he doesn't go #1--how can you pass up a 7' foot player with that much athleticism?!

Were you at the same game I was?  We shot horrible after the first few minutes of the game, it was all downhill from there and we still only lost by 4. The only thing we did right was force them into a lot of turnovers.

He means that if the game wasn't so huge it wouldn't hurt so bad to be on the bad side of the game.
