Discussion on the McNeal/Buzz Encounter?

There was a very brief clip in some highlights I saw that had McNeal jawing at Buzz during a timeout. Probably nothing all that unusual, unless it is an indication of a lack of respect for Buzz. No way to know that based on one clip in the heat of getting dominated by Dayton.

I was there, directly across from the MU bench, and saw nothing I would describe as an "encounter."
I did see during one Dayton time out what appeared to be Jerel getting a bit fired up and Buzz giving him a bit of the "OK, let's calm down" thing. It appeared to me that neither was upset with the other, but rather just Jerel getting caught up in the moment. If that's an encounter, then they had an encounter. And if that's an encounter, coaches and players have encounters every day.

Let's hope it was Buzz telling McNeal that jacking up 23 shots, including 8 three pointers, is absolutely unacceptable.

Yeah, I remember that...it was after McNeal had made a tough shot to bring MU within 5 or 6 and it looked like he was caught up in the moment and trying to tell his teammates and Buzz to keep giving him the ball cuz he must have thought he was "feeling" it...we all saw how that turned out.

I dont think anyone here is worried about it, but you can tell he is talking to Buzz by looking at his eyes. In that clip, thats the only person he is looking at.

boy that was absolutely nothing whatsoever.  Jerel all pumped up that was directly after wesleys ally oop dunk.  no anger or discontent in jerel just jacked up.  i have seen worse in junior high ba;ll.

I'm also in the camp that it's not much to worry about. Considering how edgy message forums are, and also some of the ticky tack crap we've discussed in the past, I was a little surprised nothing was written about in the immediate aftermath of the game and was curious if people had even seen it and if they did what they thought of it.
