UCONN over UW 76-57
Cuse over Florida 89-83
ND over Indiana 88-50

I'm pretty sure when I woke up this morning and checked espn.com for todays games---I didn't even think twice about either of these teams losing today.

UCONN is a beast.

Cuse is full of talent. I wouldn't call it an upset from looking at the team they can put out on the floor.

ND ---> obvious talent difference in the game today

How did our lost recruit to Indy play? I see 10 pts, but wondering if he ok or a star in the making?
You heard it here first. Davante Gardner will be a Beast this year.

He shot well (5-of-8) but I have no idea when the baskets came. It was garbage time much of the second half.

MU gimp ONE

this might have been the only time i have ever enjoyed a notre dame victory.  it wasn't even close all game.  it was actually comical how bad IU is.  at one point it looked like they had 5 walk-ons out there.

regarding Nick Williams... after seeing tonights game, i can honestly say, that i don't miss him not coming to MU.  he might still develop into a nice player, but does he look lazy right now.  ran the court at half speed, constantly missed putting a body on his guy for rebounds, terrible helpside D.  definitely still looks like he is going through the motions like he did under that joke of a head coach he had in high school.  i honestly can't believe that crean is putting up with it.

all i can say is the Big East is sick this year.

Crean has no choice but to put up with everything Nick does this year.

BlueToaster

Not surprised. MU will need to control the UW game and not let them slow it down like they will try to do. Even though UCONN won by a decent margin UW was sticking around (5 - 9 points for a while). We need to put them away early and pile it on like we should be able to do.

UCONN, ND, and all BE games will be very tough this year. Looking forward to it.

Damn...UCONN is scary good.  Talk about a complete team, with one of the nation's best freshman coming off the bench.

A Chaminade win over IU would make my day.

Let it go - we have enough to worry about with our own team and the upcoming BEast schedule.

according to yahoo, Indiana is playing St. Joe's, not Chaminade. We may have to wait until tomorrow for Chaminade to knock off the Hoosiers.

Since my recent move from Chicago to Indianapolis, I've been surrounded by nothing but love for IU.  Being raised a Hoosiers fan (and married to a Boilermaker), the move by Crean has been met with heavy scrutiny in my household.

I'm a diehard MU fan, but sure would get a kick out of IU struggling this year.

I've moved on from the Crean departure....but have not forgotten.

Haha I wish I could call a high school coach who annually has his team ranked in the top 10 in the nation and annually wins State championships a "joke of a head coach."  I'm curious as to where you went to high school to be able to do that...

Guys, Williams is not the loss to morn.  T. Taylor is starting at Kansas and averaging about 10pp. He is the one MU will  miss most of all.

I would agree with this in the sense that Taylor is better than Williams, but at the same time, I think we're better off with Cadougan. As good if not better, and he won't have to play behind James for a year either.

You want to start the BE next year w/an inexperienced point guard?  Better fasten your seat belt.

Like we did with Dominic James?

RawdogDX

65 that's what non-con play is for.  It would be nice for him to have another year of exp though.

Indiana lost by 26 to St. Joe's today. Nick was 2-of-8 from the field, 6 points.

Outside of homerism, what do you have to base this upon?

After I could not watch the Packer game any longer, I watched Kansas / Washington.  If Cadougan is as good as Taylor is, we are in good shape...real good shape.

I'm just basing it on the scouting reports I've read on here and elsewhere.

Don't get me wrong, in no way do I mean that I'm glad Tyshawn backed out. It sure would have been nice to have him, and he and Junior would make us REAL deep at the point.

The point I was making, though, is that if it's one or the other, I think Cadougan is, as I said, as good if not better.

i went to high school at your mom's house.  oh wait, she was just teaching me a thing or two... nevermind.

regardless, the facts you gave does not support that this guy is a good coach.  a lot of people get recruits who aren't good coaches.  i base my statement off of the games that i have seen with them, both in person and on tv.  Hugely's teams are very undisciplined.  it is street ball at it's finest.  they win because they have raw talent.  not because they have a "good coach".  he is probably too busy organizing his track suits to teach fundamentals.
