Hazel is making Burke a non factor permanently.  And Jimmy Mac loves him and his rebounds per minute!!!!

Let the senior start, I do not think it is a good idea to change starters. Play Hazel more. Crean screwed with Barro's head last year and it did not help. Burke is happy starting and Hazel is happy playing. in the end it might be Fulce's or Otule's spot anyways.

Have we been watching the same games?!? burke is basically a ghost and hazel has been going all out on every play, and making great plays. Hazel plays majority of the minutes anyways, and I know he would be better at getting the opening tip-off. Burke cannot jump. Don't get me wrong, i like Burke a lot personally, but i love the way Hazel has performed so far

An injury is never a good thing but while O'Tule is out it will give Hazel a great shot at getting some more experience than he would otherwise be seeing.

Hazel has played very well and has been aggressive on defense, got some boards and scored 10 points - and when he is fed under the rim, he finishes with a slam (unlike Barro who kissed the glass all the time adn sometimes missed).
I like his hustle a whole lot

I like Burke starting and Hazel getting significant minutes, even playing more minutes than Burke.  We hear about Burke's hustle and effort, but Hazel's hustle and effort is what we've been seeing.  I think Hazel has been overlooked a little; not saying he's a star, but when he's gotten to play he hasn't shown that he doesn't belong.  Either way, against teams like UW and Tennessee, both will be needed.

Hazel is out-hustling Burke and looks a lot better on offense for what they're worth.  I agree play Hazel more, but don't start him over Burke just yet.

Pat has really improved from the CSU game--where he looked lost in the O stream.  I think folks are being too hard on Burke.  Buzz will plug and play based on match-ups and their skills.  Pat can run the floor and provides energy.  Burke defends the post well.  Both have their roles depending on the opponent.  I loved that Buzz drew up the first play for Burke to score and get off on the right foot, but then he drifted from there.  It will come for both--but Pat was the answer last night.

Called for a foul on a moving screen, that is all I need to say, He needs to understand that he can't make dumb fouls. If he doesn't he will continue to lose PT to Hazel, who is a godo young player but what happenes when he faces the the true "bigs" of the BEast.

What I didn't get was .. there were stretches of the game where neither Hazel nor Burke were out there.

Now, I get that Lazar "needs experience" playing the 5 .. but .. yeah, not really.

You know who really needs PT at the 5?     Burke and Hazel.  Might as well have Hazel out there as much as possible during these OOC games.

+1. Burke has been absolutely awful.
Burke has not been awful, he was OK last game, he was doing his job pretty well. And he is a senior so let him start. Hazel can come off bench and do his job.

Why would you want guys that will play the 5 to get experience at the 5?  I think we should run Burke at the 2, so that he can get some experience working off the dribble.

eh, sometimes they are good.  ie: bledso getting hurt allowing for brady to come in and become the greatest qb ever?

I thought about that when brady went down with cassel coming in.

The experience will easily help Hazel and help the team as they start to grind deep into the Big East season

I'd like to know what game alleged stats keeper Dodds was watching last nite. I had Hazel for 8 boards, not 5.

Btw, has anyone ever seen Dodds and retired meteorologist Paul Joseph together at the same time?
