Great Moment... Help Needed.

On late Friday night I stumbled into the "Village Pub" in Shorewood.  In the back room they have one of the most glorious pictures of Al Maguire in the Milwaukee arena I have ever seen.  I did some research and as for someone who wasn't born to live this moment it became even more special.  See the link:

I'm looking to make this picture (second one) the focal point of my basement rec room and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a high-resolution version of this where I could make a framed picture of the brilliance...  I wish I was alive to have seen this moment.

A friend of mine has a personalized Al McGuire autographed copy of that photo.

I wish that I could find a high resolution picture of it so I could print and frame it.  Everything I have found on the web is very low resolution.

unfortunatley i think that is as good as it gets..old school AP or UPI photo.  Not like to tady with all the press coverage and digital photgraphy from every one including cell phones.

February,1974 what a night.  It was snowing like crazy and the students went nuts outside. Snowgating on the back of police cruisers and off to Lenny's Pub. Seems like yesterday.

I have had a copy of that photo for over 20 years, framed and in my office.  Employees and co-workers have always commented on it and really don't see Mr. Hughes giving the bird until you show them.  Priceless photo displaying all aspects of winning and losing. 

I got my photograph from the Milwaukee Journal and paid a small price for the memories.  Stick with the "old school" resolution.

The Warriors never led in this game until the end when Marcus Washington stole the inbound pass. I was sitting behind the north basket when Maurice Lucas nailed about an 18 footer from the left top of the key. It was dead on from the moment it left Luke's hand.

Lot of class by Mr. Hughes, who produced two of the biggest dorks in state basketball history.

Hughes twins were actually from Illinois and Kim played in the Association for a few seasons. Had a career
FT% under 50.

Speaking of AL pics, anyone know where to find a better resolution on this pic? Would the university archives enlarge it?

I brought this picture up last night to a good friend of mine who is a Badger fan.  (Yeah...I know.)

Turns out the photographer, Robert "Buck" Miller worked for the Milwaukee Sentinel, and then for Sports Illustrated where he won numerous awards for his sports photography, including this famous NBA shot.

I was unaware of this, but he lived in Fort Atkinson just a few blocks from where I live right now.  He died just a few years ago.

That picture of Al won something like the state's sports photograph of the century award too.
