New Championship Banners

If anyone was at the volleyball game Monday night or has drove down Wells they may have noticed the new championship banners at the AL.  They are skinny like the retired number banners at the Bradley Center.  The men's banners are blue with yellow trim while the women's are gold with blue trim.  They are all uniform now and look great!

If you haven't seen them you should check them out at Marquette Madness Saturday!

Hopefully, and I'm sure you'll kick some donations in for a Tom Crean statue. It'll be the best bronze statue ever as it will match his skintone.

I think you'll be happy to know the GAS and CBE banners are gone from the AL.

The CBE banner listing our victory over Duke might have been TC's greatest accomplishment.  A banner for a pre season tourney in Kansas freaking City highlighting a win over one of Coach K's 5 worst Duke teams.

Why didn't TC ever hang a banner after we won the 2004 BCA Classic with a thrilling victory over Air Force.  Why is that the only one that got left out?

Rumor has it Fr. Wild stopped him from hanging a banner each time we won the Blue & Gold Classic.

They might be doing the same thing in the BC as well. During the Bucks exhibition games the MU banners weren't hanging, maybe they're being replaced?

Here are the men's basketball banners on the left of the scoreboard.


Here are the women's basketball banners on the right of the scoreboard.  A post season banner like the men's will go between the scoreboard and conference champions banner.  It had to be replaced due to an error on it.  Also you can see a rolled up banner.  That will be the WNIT Championship banner from last season.


Here are the retired number banners on the north side of the AL.
