Great article featuring top recruits who still haven't committed. Hopefully Kansas rubs Snaer the wrong way, but unlikely that Lawrence isn't impressive on Midnight Madness following a national championship.

QuoteNo. 19 Michael Snaer, 6-4 SG, Rancho Verde, Moreno Valley, Calif.

Contenders:  Florida State, UCLA, Missouri, Kansas, Marquette, Memphis, California

Official visits:  Missouri (9/5), Florida State (9/12), Marquette (9/26), UCLA (10/3), Kansas (10/17)

The Scenario:  Snaer has completed four out of five official visits, the fifth schedule for — you guessed it — Kansas for the big weekend. The Tigers and Seminoles each appeared to lead at different times earlier in the process, but now the field appears to be more open as Snaer's stock soared during the summer. While making a prediction is difficult, it does appear that Memphis and Cal are longshots.

I wonder what, if anything, Taylor will say to Snaer about MU?

ecompt

Or maybe Taylor will introduce him to his wet nurse, who will talk Snaer out of coming to MU.

I also saw Colvin as the #42 ranked recruit.

What happened to him and MU? Did Junior's commitment scare him off, or cool MU off of him?

Kansas has a lot of potential recruits, who will have to make up their minds quickly.

MU backed off after Junior committed, but is still involved.  It's hard to get a gauge on Colvin because everytime he's asked, his list changes.  In June, before the Cadougan commit, MU was mentioned along with Minnesota, Florida State, Oklahoma and Providence.  In July, he gave a top 5 of Gonzaga, Memphis, USC, Florida State and Kentucky.  In August it was USC, Baylor, Florida State, Kentucky and Illinois.  Then in September he named a top 3 of USC, Illinois and Kentucky.  Now, he's naming Providence, MU, Washington State, Iowa State, USC and UAB...with Illinois and Kentucky not showing as much interest.

He's on an official visit to Iowa State this weekend, who knows what is going to happen with that.  MU is still involved, but he's a back up to a couple of other players IMO.

He wasn't mentioning MU at all after Cadougan committed, and didn't mention MU for months.  But earlier this week when asked, he said he was hearing from MU a lot.

Thanks for that summary of Colvin's lists.

It sounds like the kid feels he's not getting the love he feels he deserves. I think that's going to be his downfall if he does not commit to a team early in the process...the teams will pass on him.
