MU = Big East
VT = ACC
TAMU = SEC
Maryland = B1G

The next stop will be the Big 12.

Has any coach ever work in all five P5 conferences?

Not free, your money was paying for their scholarships. At 70K per year that is not chump change. Never thought it was "entertainment" but part of the educational experience for the players as well as the student body.

Don't MU employees kids get to attend MU for free?  Or they can exchange a spot at a different catholic school with an employee's child of that school?  That would seem to put the value of a scholarship in perspective.

Most private schools will allow dependents to attend tuition free. The employee likely has to be full time, or close to full time, and have worked there a number of years.

These are pretty cost neutral to the organization though. Oftentimes students live on campus, which means they still need to pay room and board, and the marginal cost of adding an additional student to the classroom is pretty small. Furthermore Marquette can likely get by with depressing its compensation overall because this is such a benefit.

I have friends who remained working on a campus just to get the tuition remission benefit. One woman I know put five kids through college that way while working as an admin for Residence Life. She joked she was the second highest paid employee on campus behind the basketball coaches.

The exchange program (FACHEX) is a great benefit, too, but it's not guaranteed, especially to higher-demand schools. Boston College has always been the most difficult to get into through that program, and MU has been at different times (post Final Four, especially). Admission to the school isn't guaranteed either.

Georgetown is the most difficult.

I had a woman in one of my grad classes (possibly the same person) who put 5 kids through as well, and I'm guessing was getting free credits herself.  Nice perk.
