Hackman spent a good chunk of his youth and early HS years in Danville, IL. Crazy to think that in the late 30s and early 40s, a rust belt town of 30K odd people in the middle of farm land nowhere had both Hackman and Dick Van Dyke roaming around as kids a few years apart.
