El Guerrero 2

I don't think Colorado actually wants to crank up the pace in this game, especially if they turn it over on 18% of their possessions.

So is the turnover thing the reason they didn't do better this year. I keep hearing about 3+ NBA players.

I know they're a decent team and we should not take lightly. But it sounds like they under achieved visa the talent.

In 5.5 hours I guess it won't matter. I want us to win the first 10min, the second 10 and the third 10, and not blow a lead in the last 10.

The coach with the best winning percentage in Colorado history, who has coached more than one season, is named Frosty Cox.

That should tell you something about Colorado basketball.

I read they've had quite a few injuries as well.

Yes, turnovers is one of the Buffs' biggest bugaboos and the best way for us to win this game.

They also have a short bench (partially bc of injuries—one of their main rotation pieces off the bench has been out for the last month), relying on a mostly 6 man rotation at this point.  Foul problems could limit them and legs may be tired after both a run to Pac12 championship combined with their third game this week (and with a short turnaround from Friday night to Sunday morning).

Cody Williams is a potential lottery pick but would be picked more on potential than performance—he's not often been as dominant as you'd expect and can be prone to be a ball-stopper on offense, settling for long range jumpers.

Lampkin is a fun and emotional big in the vein of Davante Gardner, but can also disappear in some games.

Since CU is my second team, I've chimed in several times that they have the talent to beat MU and shouldn't be taken lightly.  That said, they are a 10 seed partially bc they had and still have a number of injuries but also underperformed and can be maddeningly inconsistent at times.  In that sense, I want and hope for MU to win, bc of how MU has done a better job all year (and beyond) in putting in the work to live up to their potential.

Second career out there just begging for him with that handle

Oh, and one more thing. Tad has been a decent coach for CU, but he's the sort of high floor but middling ceiling type.  For a school where basketball success is seen as a bonus, that's largely been fine, but Shaka beats him on most measures.

Thanks for the insight. I'm looking forward to see if Lampkin will come out to cover OSO
I think he would tire quickly

Just posted similar in the other thread— Lampkin is more nimble than you'd expect, but I think Oso's activity (and Gold) will be a challenge for him.
