A Golden Eagle swooped into work today. Spent the rest of the day looking into a Houston trip for early April.

I remember how a little bat scared the crap out of Cooley and his players in the Bradley Center. If we had this eagle with us in Providence and let it loose, Cooley and his team would have run into the locker room and refused to come back out. A forfeit is a win.

Ok, I admit it. I'd run and hide from this sucker too.

Nice!  But....next time I'm in Banff I'll give you a holler.

Still show people the videos of a golden eagle knocking a full sized mountain goat off of a mountain, dying from the fall, and the eagle eating it.

I'll settle for the golden eagle gobbling down a bluejay right now.

Bluejays are pretty tough for their size. But the eagle would take em!

The Thing

A warrior would handle a Bluejay.

For as much flack as the nickname gets from the old warrior crowd, it really is a massive majestic mother*er of an animal.

No doubt. Possibly the most badass of all birds.
Have some patience, FFS.

Neat you can bring pets to work.
Just wouldn't want to see what happens when someone brings in their pet bunny at the same time.

It is, and I wish Marquette would make more use of that fact. For starters, how about a logo that shows that bad-assedness?

I thought the original logo was pretty cool, but the problem was that old Warrior supporters refused to buy it.  I recall the 2003 Final Four when all they were selling caps for all the participants and Marquette's had some ridiculous M on it that no one had seen before and nobody wanted.

Tell that Eagle he can book a non-stop from Milwaukee on United. I might even have some Plus Points for him!

In the meantime, my field guides tell me that while Blue Jay can be tough, it is the bad-ass eagle equivalent of smoked meat. There's no waste when an eagle finishes a blue jay!
