Wojo got a job.

After listening to him for 2 mins, he's already better at this than being a head basketball coach.

Galway Eagle

Genuinely curious if ESPN would ever put him on a MU game for a November tournament or something. I don't think we ever got Crean but Xavier's had their former coach and Lavin's an analyst for SJU games so not unheard of.
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

Is he going to be a game analyst or a studio guy?
Have some patience, FFS.

Whichever one PLAYS HARDER.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

He was a studio guy tonight.  He didn't forget the score of any game, punch a whiteboard or lose his voice.  He's a natural (at this).

It's ESPN...I'm sure they consider Wojo a Duke guy and don't realize he was associated with another program.

He's been a studio guy since I think the Thanksgiving tournaments. He seemed a bit bond, but I'm sure will grow into it.

I don't think he's called any games yet.

He was wooden and laconic in November Cheebs and added nothing to the broadcast.

Yep. The guy hit the jackpot on the Marquette buyout and can live off that. But as a studio guy? "Wooden" is the right word. Studio guys need to be interesting and animated. Wojo is not.

I hope ESPN doesn't expect him to adapt and make adjustments.

Thanks for the morning chuckle!

I didn't think Wojo added much last night, but then again Greenberg is a motormouth who rarely lets anyone else on the set get a word in edgewise.

So, he didn't throw up on the set? About the extent needed for him to be better at something than a basketball coach.

Hey, don't be bad mouthing the guy, who as USF coach said about their game against Marquette "Some days you're the dog, some days you're the tree. Today, we were the tree."  ;D

What if he punched a whiteboard during planning sessions

I like the way you think. And he could slap the counter in the studio rather than a bball court to bring back happy Duke memories. I am sure he reads Scoop, so let's keep offering suggestions.
