I like that for all the praise Shaka places on his shooting, he said he could only see more minutes if his defense improved. Kam, to his credit, embraces the challenge.

I remember how Buzz hated having a short bench one year because he couldn't use playing time as motivation to get kids to play defense.  Shaka doing the same is really pushing guys like Kam and Joplin to embrace defense at a level they haven't before.  I love it.
