These guys do not quit.  Just a beautiful 2nd half for the Warriors.  Kolek was superb as was Kur and Kam.  This team is tough as nails, man this is fun.  On a side note I am praying we get different announcers for the title game.  How many freaking times can you say Koler instead of Kolek?  Totally inexcusable.

I felt soooo much better when she apologized mid game for the mistake...and then continued to make it.

What a joke.

Pretty that never happened in 7 years of Wojo.

Big East coaches aren't looking forward to facing Shaka. Always hated when Kevin Willard would say how "well coached" MU was after easily beating Wojo for the 5th straight time.

I feel like we should wait until tomorrow to declare Victory. I'm sure there's got to be at least one more point recount coming.

Couldn't help but laugh at this. Watching a Marquette squad bounce back in the second half two games in a row is a nice change of pace. Speaks volumes to who's at the helm, in my opinion.

Shaka 8-6 Lifetime versus Huggy Bear . There is some history there.

You know I look at our league and I think the potential is exactly what was envisioned in 2014.  DePaul beat a pretty good Rutgers team.   I don't think there's a bad team in this conference despite Gtown losing to Dartmouth.  It's crazy early but top to bottom we may be the best conf in the country.

Other than getting names wrong a few times, they were extremely complimentary to Marquette. I'll take those two over most of the BE announcers any day. They fell all over themselves with praise for Kolek and Lewis especially. As well as Morsell last night. Nothing but more praise for the job Shaka is doing.

That's fair but it's very strange to repeat "Koler" when she knew she made a mistake before and apologized. Also, the "Morrell/Morell" sequence in the middle of the game on Thurs was totally bizarre.  Were they going mushroom picking the following morning?  Know the names of the players on the court.  It's not too much to ask.

They definitely are not terrible announcers but the name gafs and some of the play analysis has rattled me.

The lady on Thursday when we fell behind to Ole Miss early really latched onto the lack of paint shots by MU.

Quick research would show, that make or miss. Coming out launching from deep is our game.

Then she doubled down and said "Ole Miss doing a great job speeding up Marquette and making them play their game taking quick shots" uhhhhh....coming into that game we had the 2nd highest rate of shots per shot clock in the nation ha.

hi

I forgot about that.....great point.  Speaking  of speed,  I watched the 2012 West Virginia game last night.  I think Cadougan is so underrated in the annals of MU hoops history.  Stats really don't show his value.  He zoomed up the court and had the ability to control tempo. That was one COOL team.  I see us getting back to finding those type of athletes and burners.  MU is on an excellent trajectory and we may be ahead of schedule.

They lost me when Debbie heaped praised on the first charge called against MU during the Ole Miss game. It was an objectively bad call.

They further lost me with the constant "Kohler". Lost me further with "Morrell" vs "Morsell" (this is a BEPOY candidate - figure it out).

Imagine having your coming out party on national TV, thoroughly outperforming everyone's expectations and "the worldwide leader in sports" pisses down their legs with player names (our best players, by the way).

This is why I don't consume ESPN anymore unless I have to.

Junior was a fun player to watch and is a much loved player in the annuals of MU.  He also frequently played out of control until his senior season.

Another poster, I forget  who ,said that Junior is the minimum standard for the type of player we need at his position.

I agree with you that we will be getting back to these kind of players who can accelerate . Our two recent signees appear to fit that profile

Hernan, if there's one maxim that is immutability true in hoops it's that "speed, kills".  Give me zoomers, give me burners, give me guys with the ability to change direction, prime-time handles, and stealth acceleration.  I've been asking for this for many, many, years.   But yes, all of these attributes under control.

Pronunciation issues aside, I'm fine with the two game announcers -- ESPN has certainly trotted out much worse. Antonelli may have been a last minute replacement because Mark Adams was originally scheduled on color.

I couldn't stand the three puds in the halftime studio though. Just terrible.

Wouldn't have thought so 7 years ago, but it makes me thankful for the FS contract and hope they can re-up.

Yes, their halftime crew was atrocious.  Good point.

Of she said koler, it was obviously paying homage to Joey Wolfe.
