Kur's fouls

Last night, Kur took a page out of Theo's book and had two fouls distant from the hoop. His forced departure in the first half promptly led to an MU deficit.
He played well, but looked gassed at times. I think his minutes will have to be carefully managed.
He handled a couple of passes from short range well and threw it down with gusto.
As for the fouls, I wish he'd save 'em for blocks. He blocks a good number of shots without fouling, but there will invariably be nights when there's a ref with a quick whistle on blocks.

I'd trust him to not pick up too many silly fouls.  He is playing a different style but during his time at OU, he was far better than Theo at avoiding fouls

Osa was playing well.  Small line up with Justin and OMP/Joplin.   Shaka rode a hot line up.   Pick one.

I was very surprised.  It worked out and Oso did fine but Kur should have been in the game imo.

The only worry for me is if it was some kind of injury, which thankfully doesn't seem to be the case. Not worried about some weird Shaka mind game or whatever.

I just found it odd that he was +21 and saw no time down the stretch. The others continued with the momentum and like another poster said, maybe it was just matchups or "going small".

Most likely ball handling. We can use Osa as an outlet against pressure D. He is a very capable ball handler, and twice dribbled out of trouble. Kur can't do that.

We needed to avoid turnovers, Osa helps do that.

Also, not a big enough sample size yet, but I wonder if Osa may also be a better FT shooter (Kuath is a career 55% FT shooter).

Until Shaka gives us reason to second-guess his playing-time decisions, I see no reason to do so.

I'm not saying Shaka is perfect or beyond criticism. I'm just saying he seems to be pretty dialed into knowing when to play who.

Free throw shooting percentage would be my guess, especially late when WV was apt to foul.

I actually didn't notice that he sat out down the stretch but there was a play where he has a pretty nasty landing and I was worried about his knee.

He quickly got up and walked back to the defensive end so I thought nothing of it, assumed he was fine. I don't remember what minute mark it was and didn't notice if he played much after that. 

Not speculating at all, just hope that didn't have anything to do with it. If it did, hopefully just precautionary.
