I have many relatives that went to Loyola-Chi and have heard wonderful stories about that "63 team.  They made an enormous contribution to college hoops and were exemplary men on and off the court.  May he rest in peace and condolences to his family and Loyola U.

I have no connection to Loyola-Chicago, but I remember Harkness and that team fondly as that year was the first National Championship game I watched in its entirety. I was hooked and haven't missed one since. Indeed,  RIP Jerry.
