Not one of the top teams in Spain, but its still Liga ACB.  Far worse things than getting paid 6 figures to play basketball in Galicia.  Also will put him even more on the radar of top Euro clubs if he plays well.  Smart choice by the young man.

I think this will be the same fate experienced by Joey Hauser... Someplace in Europe. Sure, for money, but not the NBA goldmine they both have envisioned for themselves by them or their families.
They are merely tall, kind of good basketball players. Plain and simple.
I hope we don't waste any more effort on chasing these types of guys again. Both came here for one unceremonious year with no accomplishments to speak of for the teams they played on.... We waisted mountains of time and I'm sure money recruiting guys who's life vision did NOT included any significant Marquette participation other than being a brief bus stop in their over inflated egos and careers... Just sayin'

Henry is significantly better that Joey Hauser's ceiling.

Henry also has $6m in career earnings, pretty good for the guy.

Silly argument.   Every recruit is a gamble.  Sometimes they don't pan out.   But to say you don't want talented 6'9 players because Henry and Joey left early isn't to be taken seriously.   I want every versatile 6'9 guy Shaka can land.   Some of them may leave.   Recruit them anyway.

No argument here on either count.

Yes. Let's not recruit highly rated versatile big men. Dawson Garcia fits that too.

Did we get to the NCAAs with any of these guys? Thought we, Marquette, wants to win basketball games or are we just serving as a vehicle for pro prep for guys with no team aspirations??? Gonzaga's guys just às good but stick around longer to help win games. No? Am I missing something here.....

Gonzaga has the #1 recruiting class next year.  Don't expect them to stick around four years.  Chet Holmgren is probably the #1 pick next year.

Also, the #5 pick in this year's draft was Jalen Suggs of Gonzaga.  He played one year.

Gonzaga has Mark Few and is very fashionable.
