Seen this a couple of times now, coaches throwing out tweets saying their team is looking for a game.

Mike Brey just tweeted that ND is looking for a game on either Dec 4th or 5th and they will travel.

Imagine Woj taking up the offer for the 5th, and MU playing Wisconsin and ND on back to back days. Some people's heads may explode. (MU obviously won't take Brey up on his offer).

Would love to see that happen.

If Bucky were to cancel over covid... Nice backup plan.

I guess the question is with so many new players needing playing time against quality opponents, why not?  The next game after Wisconsin is UCLA Dec 11.  A whole 7 days.  Other than the risk of taking a L against ND, what is the risk?

Ah, thanks.  My printer messed up and the UW-GB didn't show up.

Brey received a call back.

Hilarious that ND is scared to play SLU.

It is, but it's a legitimate fear. SLU probably a top 40 to 50 team. Notre Dame? Probably closer to to 100 then 50.

That's about what SLU's level was last year. They'll be better than that this year. SLU's good.

They won over LSU today without Hasahn French and Fred Thatch. LSU has Watford, Smart, and Days from last year's 2nd place SEC team. And, they added a top 5 or so class, including Cameron Thomas.

Maybe Brey will call them back. It'd be a good game for their schedule.

SLU looking for a game next week. They called every team that had a game canceled, including KU, no dice.

It will be interesting to see how MU handles any openings that arise. We might find out soon, as our game against Xavier is currently in 'wait-and-see' mode.

Would not surprise me , in the event of cancellation that MU ends up playing Depaul or Butler in what is designated as a non conference games  As those teams have so many missed games.

I have seen a few teams do that Type of thing this year

They'll do them as conference games, just like St John's and Georgetown. The only way they might class them otherwise is after you've played a team twice if they're the only available opponent and you really need a game.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Yep. If two conference games are cancelled, get their opponents together and knock at least one of their games out. Play all the games you can when you're COVID free...you never know what the rest of the season will hold

Yep, that makes the most sense. If we get the opportunity for a third game, great, but the first two should count as conference games.

A season like we have never seen before...and hopefully don't see again.

Travis Ford said the Twitter plea worked and they have a game being finalized this week with someone. He said Michigan and Mizzou also called. He almost had a Michigan game but it fell through last minute. Ford is friendly with Cuonzo Martin and they will eventually play.

Credit to NC State as the team to take the SLU Twitter game offer. (Thursday)
