Marquette dropped from 22 to 25 beating DePaul, fell to 31 behind the badgers in ken Pom. A win drops them, a loss would presumably drop them more. A lot of tough games coming up... I wouldn't want them to fall into the late 30s as it can get dicey at tourney time.

NET isn't end all be all. They would still be in if they hit 30s, just a lower seed.

NC State didn't get in being 33 last year cause if a bad resume. Marquette's resume is strong enough.

Even losing some of the tougher games doesn't hurt our ratings much, and can even improve them.

We are fine.
"I hate everything about this job except the games, Everything. I don't even get affected anymore by the winning, by the ratings, those things. The trouble is, it will sound like an excuse because we've never won the national championship, but winning just isn't all that important to me." Al McGuire

We also went up 1 when we lost to Butler.

The only way the NET will really swing is a road win at Nova(like Creighton) or a bad loss(not really many chances for those left). Our NET will keep fluctuating in the same area unless we either win or loss a lot more frequently coming up.
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

Blowout wins when you are supposed to lose move the needle......so do blowout losses when you are supposed to win.

NET is used like RPI was.....mostly as an organizing tool.

It's funny you mention RPI...just for grins today I checked to see what MU's RPI is currently for the first time all year...it's 19. Then I wished they were still using RPI instead.  ;D
