Oh, it's OK to not really be knowledgeable. Lots of folks don't care to immerse themselves in all things Warriors. We Scoopers are the outliers. Most folks are casual fans, they have other interests entirely, etc.

But these young men obviously are big enough fans to have gathered at a Marquette bar dressed head-to-toe in blue and gold. If you don't know what the eff you're talking about, shut the eff up and don't pretend you do.
Give them a break, they were all wearing MikeDeanesDarkBeerGoggles.

Please point to where I said it's only an IL thing.

Wouldn't have included FIBs otherwise, no would you?

If he was watching the game in NC instead of IL? Well, no, I wouldn't have included FIBs lol. He was watching the game at a bar in IL...

Oh good.  Just what we need.  Something else to argue about  :-\

Part of why I moved to the back area. That and the drunk Creighton dude that kept falling into our table when he made out with his gf.

Yeah, there were a few obnoxious Creightonites in there, but I have to admit they had reason to celebrate that night. Unfortunately for them, their team got drunk, too, judging by their performance at Butler!

Do we have Donte DiVincenzo to thank?  Nova in town for an early Saturday afternoon game, goes down 20 in the first half, Bucks play later that evening in the same building and Donte is out for "rest."

Thanks Donte!  Hopefully the Bucks play at the 76ers the same day Marquette plays at Nova.

Donte was at the game watching from the hallway behind the Nova bench. There was a kid in our section wearing his Nova jersey. The staff got the kid down to the floor to meet DD. Kid was shy, but really happy after. Nice to see.

114 is not students. 113 is a student section and that is where it came from. To be fair however, there were a lot of gray hairs in that student section on Saturday.

I know that. Should've ordered it differently. The parenthetical only referred to 113, but I could see even when I posted it how it could be misinterpreted.

I was at the Marquette bar Kirkwood for the Creighton game, along with my son and a fellow Class of '82er. There were 5 guys at the table next to ours, all from the Class of 2016. (I asked.) They were rude, loud and drunk. And they knew next to nothing about Marquette basketball.

When Bailey missed an early 3-pointer, one of them screamed, "Bailey, you suck! You should NEVER shoot a 3!" I turned to him and said, "Actually, he is shooting 40%-plus from 3, and we need him to take that shot when he's open." To which, the kid replied: "I don't care. He sucks."

When Sacar couldn't catch a pass that was thrown beyond his reach, another of them screamed, "Anim sucks! I wish we had anybody else on the court!" I turned to him and said, "Sacar has been our second-best player, and that wasn't even his turnover." To which, the kid offered some deep, detailed insight: "He blows!"

When they showed Wojo on the screen, one of the kids said, "(Bleeping) loser," and another said, "Fire his azz!"

I'm guessing that was representative of "the majority" that boos Wojo.

I can't resist...OK, boomer.

Totally don't mean it - you're right - it just might be the only time I'll ever be able to type that.

This is why young people shouldn't _______....they are generally clueless until they live life and experience it for awhile.   :D
