He's arguably the originator of modern basketball.  Condolences to his family.

An innovator.  First steps toward positionless basketball.

Before my time but the 80's Bucks play anything like Don's Warriors teams?

I also don't get why Marques Johnson isn't in the HOF.  Or Gus Williams.

Good for him.  He probably died because his parents had him vaccinated for polio

Point forward Paul Pressey.  Three point shooting 7 footer.   Working to get an open corner 3 before almost everybody else. (Craig Hodges)  Playing bigs on the perimeter to create lanes for slashing guards.

Hodges was extremely cool.  Lights out spot shooter.  I think he made 23 straight triples in a 3pt contest. Who was the giant who could lace threes?

I think him and Mike D'Antoni

They didn't play with GSW's pace. More slow and methodical on the offensive end and better on the defensive side of the ball.

The problem with Marques is two-fold. First, he really only played for nine full seasons before his career got cut short due to injury. Second, you could arguably say his best season was his second. He didn't really improve. The trade for Terry Cummings improved the team at the time.

And Gus Williams just wasn't good enough. His all time win-shares has him in the company of Mark Aguirre and Doc Rivers. His all time win-shares per 48 has him with Gilbert Arenas and Kerry Kittles. That's pretty accurate.
