Did any of you Wojo critics watch and March Madness games besides Marquette?  The sec had 4 sweet 16 teams to none for the Big East. We had the luxury of playing in the BIG big East for a decade that culminated in 3 sweet 16s.  A beat up Louisville can still take a coach from a great big East program, like any of the power 5 can do. Their alumni basis are many times as big.

I guess I'm glad all the "fire Bruce Pearl" fans from two years ago when he had a 44-54 record seem to have moved to Milwaukee to attack Wojo instead while i at least get to celebrate a final 4 here. I love the big East and we are very lucky to have Jay Wright as well as legends with St John's and Georgetown. If Wojo stays long term Marquette will he great - if not then we could have another string of 2 sweet 16s in 31 years like we did before Buzz.
Wouldnt celebrate anything related to Bruce Pearl and his former assistant coaches.

While Wojo may end up being great...and I dont want him fired...i also dont think it would be impossible to upgrade if he were to leave or be asked to leave.  Surprised you think so little of MU.

Didn't realise you held Buzz in such high regard

I believe the technical term here is: pwned.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

The coal being shoveled into the engine (his handling of disciplinary matters and thwarting investigations) was not environmentally sound.

Who? what? when? where? why?

Rick coached at SLU.  People were right.  We just aspire to be SLU.

Oh Crean isn't a better coach?
Nope.  Overall record slightly above average. Made the tourney about 50% of the time in his career.  Never made it past the sweet 16 without Dwayne Wade.
367-252
11-9 NCAA
2-3 NIT
So, in 19 years of coaching, 9 NCAA trips.

Maybe he has finally improved, will string together consecutive classes, learn to attack a zone, make in game adjustments, develop bigs.   But if so, it is an argument to continue to be patient with Wojo.  Because it will have taken Crean 20 years to do it.
