I'm talking about how midget minded it is to turn to how Murray State played in their next game to complain about Marquette basketball.

I did not participate in it, but I thought it is pretty obvious that was a reaction to a specific poster who was vaguely excusing the beat down at the hands of Murray State by implying they were some sort of juggernaut.

Some of us have some miles on the machine but the engine remains a finely tuned quality piece of engineering.

There are classics in the world, Willie: the '66 Shelby, the '66 Alfa Romeo Spider, the '69 240 Z, the MGB, the TR4, the Karmann Ghia, the F4 Phantom, the Spitfire, the Mustang, and the Warthog.

Some of these young punks don't appreciate fine craftsmanship. And that's a damn shame.

No one said Murray State was a juggernaut.  Some people said they were a horrible matchup for us, and that was correct.

We were woefully unprepared. We were humiliated by a mid major of very slender accomplishment. Very slender, indeed.

That same mid major was decimated by Florida State just two days later. FSU beat them by 28 points.

If that was not the punctuation on one of the most shameful stretches in the storied annals of a once proud Marquette basketball team I do not know what is.

Transitive properties in sports are lame. If you want to go there, we beat Louisville on a neutral court, Va Tech lost to them on their home court.  Means nothing.

FSU I have I'm the Final Four, they have annihilated several teams of late, so that is also not a big wake up.

Crash, if we had played some of the 11's and even 10's I would have felt much better.  Murray State was a bad matchup for us.  I didn't care of the game plan, but with our foot speed if we went straight man I see same outcome ultimately, which is a loss.
