I would take Wojo over Gard any day of the week.

Not disagreeing but just curious. Based on what ?

Anybody who says Hamilton isn't considered a good coach and is thought of as a roll the ball out and play kind of guy isn't paying attention.

And you can sure learn a lot about the knowledge of some posters based on their reactions to single game results. I'm wondering if Jon and Goose were thinking how awful a coach Tony Bennett was when he lost by 20 to UMBC who then lost to Bruce Webber. Maybe Izzo can't coach because he lost to a 15 seed who then lost by 25 to a 10 seed. Or K because he lost to a 15 seed who then lost to a 10 seed by 12.

There's plenty to complain about. For people who pretend they're too smart for posters here, chicken littling how Murray State played in one game kind of diminishes that.

But if it makes you feel better about yourself then enjoy. Happy you guys got what you were hoping for.

same here. Probably because basketball posts are the only time keefe isn't telling us how big his johnson is or how many women he's screwed.

Fact is muta we would likely have a great time in person over single malt. These message boards don't lend themselves to the conviviality of the moment.

Get off your stupid perch.  We throw too much money at our program for these results.  Do you pay 75k for a god damn Hyundai? Jesus christ what's wrong with you dip sheets?

Gard's success thus far can all be attributed to one Bo Ryan recruit. Let's see what he does without Happ.

Let's just retitle this thread to "The Meats Sum-it-up v2.0"

Congrats guys.  You deserve each other.

I think he benefitted from a bunch of experienced talent that Bo recruited. Once Happ graduates, I don't think he will recruit well enough to keep the Badgers a consistent tourney team. Could be totally wrong, but he benefitted a lot from having Koenig and Hayes right away.

Bad matchup for Murray St.
Do you think so? Any thoughts on the sun rising in the east tomorrow?

Murray State is a mid-major with mid-major resources and players, besides Ja, that are mid-major players. No shot versus a legit top 30 team.

All the data points to MU falling apart at the end of the season; own it! Why? is for you to decide.

I would take a Wojo/Gard swap.

Anyone else?

Are we seriously in a position where we're clamoring for Greg unnatural carnal knowledgeing Gard? The guy that just got blown out by an Oregon team that finished 4th in the weak-ass Pac 12? WITH HAPP, mind you.

Come on man.

Bad_Reporter

Wades being wades.  Slobbing on Wojo, and upset that Wojo is going to be gone after next year.

fair enough. but we'd have to focus on Al and not politics. Speaking of which , the izzo affair reminded me of this pete Vecsey story:

"You had to be tough (or know how to fake it) to play for McGuire, because eventually you had to fight him before practice, during it, afterward or following games. Joe Hughes, who played with McGuire at St. John's before transferring to Denver, said he witnessed Al going round and round in the Marquette locker room with macho forward Maurice Lucas.

Bruised and bleeding, his shirt ripped to shreds, McGuire casually remarked, "He'll think twice about disrespecting me again."

Gard would have won Big East regular season with our team.  In an undeniably strong Big Ten, way better this year than BE, still had them 4th

Marquette has such a rich, colorful tradition. The Marquette brand is renegade. It's brawling, and switchblades, and dancing on the sidelines after slam dunks.

Wojo is the antithesis of everything we stand for. The BoT went too far. We need to get back to our roots.

Gard is likely the Madison equivalent of Mike Deane. Superb tactician but uninspired recruiter.

I do give Dino credit - the man could game plan for Cincinnati and Louisville like no other. We were terribly under-talented by comparison and yet the Potsdam Lush could lay traps for Huggins and Pitino better than anyone.

Not sure if Gard is a drinking man but he does know his X's and O's.

Funny, cause the next line of vecsey's story is : "At the same time, Al treasured revolt and prized the rebellious."
