we had so few steals that we turned into easy transition buckets. Haven't run the numbers on this but that's how it felt to me all year. Not many deflections. Were  we just too slow as a team?

Season turned when we played Louisville. We were 3-2 with a blowout loss @IU and we played a good half with KU.

There was a shot (can't recall 2 pointer or 3 pointer) that was called incorrectly to the dismay of Louisville. We don't get that call there's no OT and we lose. We likely drop some of the big games we won in December if Louisville was a loss.

That was the first sign that this team was not what we thought they were. But they took the victory and strung together some impressive wins. It was apparent that this team believed in themselves and each other

We were throttled by St. Johns and won another controversial game @Creighton with that controversial (probably shouldn't have counted) miracle by Sam. We lose that game we probably drop a few more.

Injuries, physical and psychological stamina took it's toll. I wish the team, university and players were more forthright on injuries. They weren't and it's part of the reason everyone on this board is heated and disgusted.

BEast was much weaker than advertised. We should've been a 7 - 10 seed, maybe even lower. That was my hope when all the 2 or 3 seed talk was happening. 12/5 always a crap shoot.

To those who see/saw Markus going to the NBA: I hope that you realize how crazy that was. Sure that guy is probably 2nd or 3rd pick, but do you really see Markus as 27th best in NCAA if that guy is #2 or #3? Coz that's what he needs to get a guarantee in 1st Round.

You know who's gonna be in the NBA from this team? Bailey. He's got the size and look of an NBA player plus the lineage. Laugh all you want, he'll get a shot and probably make a career. Hausers? I'm not seeing it. Joey looks like he's nursing a hangover from the night before every game day.

Yes, a slow team that looked slower the season progressed.  Marquette looked like the un-athletic Ohio Valley Conference team against Murray State.
