Teams used to be able to leave Sacar open or at least not focus on him. No longer.
Teams are similarly doing this to Brendan.
There is a reason that corner 3 is wide open.
BB seems to have a hitch in that shot, like he needs an extra push to get it there.
Would be so huge if that shot comes together going down the stretch.
Very poor from deep, but I think he needs to keep shooting that shot..... for the sake of the offense.

This is true, but in the last game, Nova completely underestimated Sacar. They will be spread a little thinner if they have to work on both Hausers and Anim. And now we know Theo and/or Ed can also Step up on the inside.

100%. I think this team's overall ceiling will be determined by who other than Markus is going to be able to create reasonably efficient 1v1 offense. Sacar's improved shooting, finishing at the rim, and finding the open man on kickouts provides a completely different dimension. If Joey continues to develop his one-on-one game, phewf this team will be nuts.

1.  The strength of this team is the team.  On a day where Marcus was mortal....
2.  Welcome back, Joey.  I hope this means his freshman slump is over.
3.   Sacar was rock solid.  Getting in the lane.  No help off the shooters?   No problem.
4.  Sam money on the transition 3s.
5.  Careless turnovers in the first half.  Contagious as the stomach flu in second grade.
6.  Providence extended their defense and face guarded Markus.  It was relatively effective.  They also did not help off shooters for a large part of the game.
 Marquette was able to get in the lane and finish.
7.  Defense did not rest.  Such effort.
8.  Bailey and Cain weren't great.  Bailey a little better due to a couple of assists.
9.  The Providence press was not effective.  Joey on the floor.  Do the math.
10.  Convincing conference road conquests are worth their NET weight in gold.
11. Nova time.

Sam needs to be less selective and a little more selfish. I’d be fine if these percentages actually went down a bit and his points per game went up.

I agree. However, I don’t think it’s in Sam’s mental makeup to be less selective/selfish.
Sam is always striving to make the right basketball play. He doesn’t appear to be willing to go outside of who he is.

Watched with my friends (not MU fans, but they had money on them) in Vegas.  They were really upset that the refs allowed multiple Providence push offs in the first half, along with some very physical body-up defense, yet MU had some Ricky tack calls.  They evened out in the 2h.

He's expanded his offensive repertoire, as well. He took more than twice as many threes (139) as two-point shots (66) as a freshman. Now over 40% of his shots are inside the arc. He's shooting more mid-range jumpers and post-up turnarounds. That's helped him increase his free throw rate (from 14.2% as a freshman to 24.0% this season).

Add to that he's handling the ball more (even bringing it up court at times) and leads the main rotation in defensive rebounding (19.0 DR%).

This team is full of this. It's hard not to love a team that is so supportive of each other.

Love that kid, oddly enuff one thing he really struggles with is post feeds. A little more pass faking and bounce passing should help him greatly in this area.  In many cases he should just shoot.

I agree.  Everyone, including myself was hopeful that Cain could step up after a solid performance against Butler.  But he went back to making boneheaded plays in his limited time yesterday.  He clearly is a better offensive option than Bailey, but Bailey just seems more reliable at this point.

And boy did Wojo shorten up the line up yesterday.  Cain, Bailey and Chartouny all had single digit minutes.
