"I hate everything about this job except the games, Everything. I don't even get affected anymore by the winning, by the ratings, those things. The trouble is, it will sound like an excuse because we've never won the national championship, but winning just isn't all that important to me." Al McGuire

I've had Ooma for 2-3 years.  Works well.

To be noted .. *all* VOIP carriers depend on your internet connection.  If your connection isn't 100%, neither is your call quality.   I tried a different voip carrier ~5 years ago .. and a quarter of the phone calls weren't good.

When I used Ooma with Roadrunner, maybe a quarter of the calls had a little echo.  Now with Fiber, the audio is perfect.

For $5 a month, it's a great value.  I hate talking on cell phones .. Ooma's audio quality is 10x better than cell.

I'm going to be shelling out some money to buy this thing called "WiFi."  Apparently you can use it to access the internet without a cord.  How cool is that?

Then I can use it to buy songs on iTunes for download onto my iPod!

You could just use your cell phone via wifi and get HD quality.

Some carriers (AT&T) will block it if you buy unlocked phones, but yes, it's quite helpful and works great.
But I like to throw handfuls...

mu_hilltopper

It depends on the carrier as well.  I have an S7 Edge .. my carrier doesn't do wifi calling.

Anyhoo .. for $60 a year I have Ooma.
