Wow, they got killed on the offensive glass. SEC looks like a tough conference this year.

So much for them being underrated like some here thought. A loss to Tennessee?? Not a good look. And by the way, Tennessee is undersized(just like MU), and shot 36% from the field, out rebounded Purdue by 11. Still won the game. Hmmmm. Should have been a bad matchup for Tennesee as well, right??

I want this quote to serve as a reminder to the vast majority of scoop posters in regards to the MU BB program.

Tennessee is not undersized. I watched the game and they are long as hell.

They are also pretty good. #38 Kenpom.

Tennessee has a lot more size/length and strength then we do.

FWIW I checked seccountry.com, Athlon, CBS and SI, and they were picked to finish 11, 12, 13 and 13 out of 14 teams.  ESPN didn't project the order of finish as far as I could tell, but they listed likely tournament teams (11 total) and excluded UT, which would put them 12th or worse.  So the consensus would be around 12/13 out of 14.

I know these are just projections, but the "experts" aren't nearly as enamored with the Vols as many here....

Wojo just isn't recruiting enough upper Divison 1 type players.

MU has two above average players (Howard, Rousey), one average player (Hauser) and a bunch of junk.

That won't get the job done against teams like Purdue.

But it will against Villanova, Georgetown, Creighton, Xavier, etc?

Depends if Rowsey and Howard can rain 3's in those games.

That's MU's only chance to beat a good opponent.  Watching Tennessee (who isn't very good), you see just how little talent Wojo has assembled.

MU could not compete with Purdue in that second half.  Didn't even belong on the same floor with them.

Some would argue that you don't belong on the same board with us.
Have some patience, FFS.

Oh my God!  The sky is falling!  Chaminade smokes Cal, who lost to Witchita State by 10, who beat us by 14...we're worse than Chaminade!  Cancel the season!  Fold the program!  We're done!  Wojo ruined MU basketball for forever!

There are some real chicken littles on here.
