Basically gone is the 80/20 rule.  If you make a gift to purchase season tickets for Marquette basketball, 80% of that gift would no longer be tax deductible.

Not sure that is going to affect anyone's decision on whether or not to donate/buy tickets.  Anyone who sits in the ones that require a ton of donation-related points is probably going to spend the money anyway.

Glow and I have specifically asked for certain contributions not to count towards points because we don't need any more to sit where we want to sit, and we'd rather have the deduction.

I think price points are going to have to go down which is going to cost the schools money.  Supply and demand suggests that's going to happen.
