Has anybody from this board attended any games?  Scouting reports on the new guys?  I have read Dodd's stuff.  JB?  Freeport?  BC77?
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Never been in my life.  If I lived near Milwaukee I certainly would, but having attended other certified summer leagues, it's important not to take too much from those games. (E.g., demonstrated explosive & quickness translate to the college game; scoring 35 pts in pro-am does not)

I haven't been this year. We lost 3 weeks vacation this year, so any time off I've had has been spent at home. Most of what I've heard just revolves around body types, much of which we knew. Morrow, John, and Cain all look ready to go. Solid physiques, college ready. Elliott needs to add weight.

As Jay Bee said, you can only put so much stock in those. Those events are like all star games. I like to watch footwork and scoring diversity in those. It's more impressive to me to score 10 points in 5 different ways than making the same move to score 40. Even explosiveness can be deceiving because a guy like Trend Blackledge will look like a world class destroyer in a Pro-Am. Though leaping ability was never Trend's problem.

I've chuckled a bit as one of the Creighton reporters I follow has been gleefully tweeting out Khyri Thomas' stats. Guessing it might be the first year of their Pro-Am based on the levels of excitement over his 50 point games.

Didn't Junior score 92 one game?

EDIT: It was only 72 points: http://midwestballers.com/marquettes-junior-cadougan-goes-off-for-72-points-to-set-new-milwaukee-pro-am-record/

Junior and Vander were back and forth that entire game.

In more recent news, Anim had 35 last night and Heldt went for 16/19. I wouldn't start fitting them for All American plaques just yet though.

Wasn't Sacar a good defender coming in but his offense needed some work? I'm excited to see what the year off has done for his game.

Mr. Nielsen

I was at the Pro-Am last night. Please, don't put any stock in stats. They are pick-up games with refs. Many of the MU players looked tired and they have been doing boot-camp like workouts.
If we are all thinking alike, we're not thinking at all. It's OK to disagree. Just don't be disagreeable.

You can see how much coaches slow down players.

I think it was the other way around. In 83 minutes of playing time he made 6-12 from 2 and 2 of 5 from 3. Horrible at free throw line where he made 1 of 6.

You're thinking of the game where Ners shoved Cadougan out of the way, took his uniform, and muttered, "Let me show you how this is done", and Awesome Dawson proceeded to throw him alley oops every time down the floor.

No, that was Kim Jong-un.

And that wasn't basketball, it was golf. He got 92 hole-in-ones in a single round. Really impressive

Bet he never had a thunderous, one handed breakaway dunk in the Rec Center.
